I am a conservation scientist, wildlife veterinarian, zoo professional and a lecturer at the University of Chester. Zoo and Wildlife Solutions supports my conservation work and research both in zoos and in the wild. Through the company I provide a unique consultancy combining technical veterinary and scientific expertise with managerial, policy and advocacy skills to offer a diverse range of services in the zoological, conservation and wildlife health field.
For details of my work see the 'What I do' pages.
I operate three field conservation programmes which offer Masters and PhD opportunities through the University of Chester.

Field surveys and conservation management of three Endangered Primates in Ghana with West African Primate Conservation Action (WAPCA).
I can provide advice on zoo licensing to Zoo Operators or Local Authorities. I am a Defra appointed Zoo Inspector.
As previous Head of Imports for Defra, I can manage all aspects of your animal imports from paperwork to veterinary care during transport. I can assist with licensing, CITES and quarantine requirements.
I can develop preventative medicine, zoonotic disease and contingency plans to manage health care in your collection. I will also undertake veterinary audits and service reviews to ensure that your collection is receiving care to the highest modern standards.
I can design enclosures and provide advice on zoo developments. Examples of my work can be seen at Twycross Zoo where I worked with the team to design the new Lemur Walkthrough Exhibit.
